The Day the World Stood Still ...

Reflections on Nat's Kindness, Creativity and Legacy

When someone like Nat is taken from this world, it feels as though the world itself stands still and weeps. In the days after their passing, even the trees seemed still as the rain fell, a reflection of the heartbreak left behind by the loss of such a beautiful soul.

Nat was one of the sweetest and most generous people you could ever meet. They would give their last dollar to someone in need because they truly believed others deserved kindness before themselves. Their heart was full of compassion, and if someone needed help, Nat would always be there without hesitation.

Over the last few years, Nat began to come out of their shell more and more. It was beautiful to see their genuine smile shine through and to watch them become more comfortable expressing their emotions and sharing themselves with the world.

Nat touched so many lives through their kindness, creativity, and knowledge. They loved sharing their creations, their special interests, and the detailed family trees of all their characters. Although their friendship circle may have been small, it was built on deep love, acceptance, and understanding. The kind of love that naturally overflowed and touched everyone around them.

I will always cherish the moments where I simply sat and listened to Nat speak about the things they loved. Seeing their face light up while explaining their ideas and passions warmed my heart every single time.

Whenever they found a new interest, I always tried my best to find something that connected to it, just to see that happiness shine through.

Nat was not connected to me by blood, but they were still my child in every way that mattered.

They were family, deeply loved, and always will be.

Nat’s kindness, love, and gentle spirit will never be forgotten.

The impact they left on this world and the people around them is something that will live on forever.

Your Dad in every way that mattered,

Shane
