Here you’ll find character reference sheets for each member of the Beanpie Island crew, including full names, body shapes, Pantone colour palettes and design notes. Whether you’re a fan, a fellow creator, or an educator exploring visual storytelling, this is your behind-the-scenes guide to what makes each Magbean unique.
These sheets celebrate individuality through shape, colour and character, because every bean is different and every difference matters.

Magbean is a bubbly, big-hearted beanpie who feels things deeply and loves connecting with others. Full of curiosity and enthusiasm, he sometimes moves faster than his feelings can keep up with, but his kindness always leads the way. He believes in giving everyone a chance and learning through experience, even when things feel confusing or overwhelming. Magbean reminds us that being yourself, with all your emotions and energy, is something to celebrate.

Magbroccoli is quiet, thoughtful and happiest when given time and space to be himself. He likes to move at his own pace and can feel overwhelmed when others rush him or expect too much too quickly. Though reserved on the outside, he has a rich inner world and a gentle strength that shines when he feels safe and understood. Magbroccoli shows us that it’s okay to take things slowly and that friendship doesn’t have to be hurried to be real.

Beanvine is gentle, thoughtful and deeply kind, always noticing how others are feeling. She always tries to see the world in a positive light, showing confidence, empathy and care for those around her, but can also doubt her own needs. When teasing and unkind behaviour appears, Beanvine leads by example, showing that compassion is far more powerful than cruelty. Through her patience and understanding, she helps Magtaco and Nachobean learn that choosing kindness can change hearts and friendships for the better. Beanvine reminds us that kindness is an action, and that everyone has the power to make a difference.

Magtaco is loud, confident and often the first to speak, especially when trying to impress others. As one of the Cornchip Brothers, he uses teasing and name-calling to feel powerful and in control, even though it often hurts those around him. Magtaco doesn’t always stop to think about how his words affect others, but beneath his bravado is someone who is still learning how to connect with kindness instead of cruelty. His journey shows that unkind behaviour is often learned, and it can be unlearned too.

Nachobean is quieter than his brother and often follows Magtaco’s lead, joining in the teasing even when he feels unsure. He wants to belong and be accepted, and sometimes that means going along with behaviour he knows isn’t right. As the story unfolds, Nachobean begins to understand the impact of his actions and learns that choosing kindness takes courage. His character reminds us that peer pressure is powerful, but empathy can be stronger.
