I still can’t quite believe it, the Magbean!™ book launch actually happened, and it was more incredible than I ever could have imagined.

Walking into that space and seeing it filled with love, support, and pride for the stories I’ve created was completely overwhelming in the best way. I’ve never felt more seen, accepted, or uplifted. Thank you to every single person who came along, cheered from afar, helped behind the scenes, or simply believed in me and this project. You’ve made a lasting impact.
The event wouldn’t have been what it was without the incredible people who stood beside me. First, I want to thank my mum, Debi Bannerman, who hosted the launch with so much heart, humour, and genuine warmth. She made sure every guest felt welcome and included, and her ongoing advocacy for inclusive education and neurodivergent kids has shaped so much of my own journey.
We were joined by an amazing lineup of speakers who shared messages that made us laugh, cry, and feel deeply connected. I am so grateful to each of them:
Emma Davidson, former ACT Minister for Disability and now Program Director of IDEATE at ANU, closed the event with powerful words about radical love and the importance of valuing all minds and bodies. She reminded us that true inclusion means deep listening, compassion, and action.
Patricia Falcetta OAM, founder of Social Living Solutions and a longtime mentor in my life, spoke about what it truly means to respect and support neurodivergent people. She reminded us that this event reflected everything she works towards, a world where every neurodivergent person is respected, integrated, and accepted.
Luke Ferguson, founder of Daydream Machine and ACT Local Hero, has been a great mentor and supporter of my creative work. He shared reflections on making space for big ideas and the importance of backing young people’s visions. Having him speak at the book launch meant the world to me.
Simone Pryce, a proud Wonnarua woman and ANU psychology student, gave a beautiful Acknowledgement of Country and shared how safe creative spaces like Zosimos Curra support both culture and mental health. (Also, shoutout to her pet snake Oak, who might be our next honorary Magbean.)
Disha Taneja, founder of Glow Getaways, radio host, and a brilliant force of encouragement, brought so much energy and optimism to the room. Her support behind the scenes with social media and outreach has helped Zosimos Curra grow in ways I never expected.
🌟 We were also honoured to be joined by fellow author and business founder Liam Adam, who shared a heartfelt book reading during the launch. Liam lives with autism and intellectual disability and is the proud creator of Everyone Needs a Liam!, a business built to uplift others and show the world just how valuable people with disabilities truly are. His warmth, humour and big-hearted message brought even more joy to the day.
To our volunteers, friends, family, and every hand that helped set up our goodie bags, chairs, or simply offered encouragement, thank you. You made this more than a book launch. You made it a moment I’ll never forget.
It’s not just about the book. It’s about being seen. It’s about creating a space where difference is celebrated and creativity is a way to connect. That’s what the Magbean!™ series stands for, and this launch was proof that it resonates.

If you missed the event, you can catch the highlights on our socials and watch the full recording at www.zosimoscurra.com.au/all-events. If you haven’t already, pre-orders for the book are open now.
Every order helps support neurodivergent talent and keeps this dream growing.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I can’t wait to share more of the Magbean universe with you.
Nat 💚
