Zosimos Curra® and the Magbean!® series are now officially registered trademarks, marking a major milestone in our creative journey. This achievement celebrates years of storytelling, imagination, and the values of kindness and inclusion that inspired Nat’s stories.
It’s a wonderfully fitting day to share this news on Australia Day. This day marks my own journey as a migrant from Greece over 50 years ago, when my parents and I became Australian citizens. Australia has opened so many opportunities for my family, for me, and now for my teenager, Nat. Today I feel especially grateful to celebrate a milestone that reflects all that dreaming, hard work, and creativity can achieve.
In October and November 2025, both Zosimos Curra® and the Magbean!® series officially became registered trademarks. I haven’t had the chance to share this milestone earlier because, as a family, we’ve been busy finalising the second Magbean!® book for printing, supporting Nat through the end of Year 12, and managing our Christmas promotions. Now it feels like the perfect moment to catch everyone up and celebrate.
Seeing Nat’s imagination come alive in the world of Beanpie Island has been one of the most joyful experiences of my life. From the early days of dinner table conversations about kindness, encouragement, and respect, to watching those values woven into every Magbean!® story, this registration is more than just a legal milestone. It’s a recognition of years of creativity, persistence, and love.
The Magbean!® series was built on a simple belief. Every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are. Nat’s stories bring that belief to life, teaching children that being different is not just okay, it’s wonderful. This milestone strengthens our ability to continue sharing these values with children, families, and educators across Australia and beyond.
From our little dinner table to the wider world, this is a milestone that reminds us of the power of imagination, kindness, and persistence. I am proud to see Nat grow, flourish, and now carry forward a vision that started with small, heartfelt conversations at home. It fills me with gratitude that we can now celebrate it with you.
